Our philosophy of care
About Us
Myton Park Dental Centre has been part of the Ingleby Barwick community for more than two decades, providing high-quality, patient-centred dentistry in a calm and welcoming environment. From day one, our aim has been simple: to treat every patient with kindness, respect and the highest standard of clinical care.
We are proud of the reputation we’ve built — trusted by families, valued by patients, and committed to delivering an exceptional experience at every visit.

Our ethos

We believe great dentistry goes beyond technical skill. It’s about genuine care, attention to detail and the feeling of trust between patient and clinician.
At Myton Park Dental Centre, we take time to listen, understand and explain. We support each other as a team and continually invest in training, technology and modern techniques to ensure our patients receive the very best.
Ours is a practice built on warmth, experience and integrity — a place where every smile is cared for with dedication.

Meet the team
Our team is the heart of the practice — skilled, close-knit and committed to providing outstanding care. Many of our clinicians and support staff have worked together for years, creating continuity, stability and a warm, familiar environment for our patients.

Rupert graduated with Honours from Newcastle University in 1991 and went on to complete the academic requirements for the MFGDP. Shortly after qualifying, he founded Myton Park Dental Centre with a clear vision — to create a practice built on trust, consistency and genuine patient care.
The clinic was developed steadily over the years, growing patient by patient into the thriving practice it is today. Rupert has always believed in creating a dental health centre where patients feel comfortable, relaxed and confident in the care they receive. More than 25 years on, he remains deeply grateful for the loyalty and trust of the Myton Park Dental community.
Rupert has a particular interest in restoring worn and heavily restored dentition. He has completed extensive postgraduate training in restorative dentistry and composite bonding, combining technical precision with an eye for detail to achieve strong, natural-looking results.
He is especially known for his calm manner with nervous patients. Helping anxious individuals feel at ease has always been central to his approach, and he takes pride in creating an environment where patients can regain confidence in dental care and maintain their oral health comfortably.
Outside the practice, Rupert enjoys a simple, family-centred life with his wife Pauline and their children, William and Tabitha. He finds relaxation in gardening, walking his dogs along the beach, listening to vinyl records and, when time allows, attending the occasional live music gig.

MFGDP, KOIS Graduate
Pauline graduated with Honours from Newcastle University in 1995 and was awarded the MDGDP qualification in 1997. In 2003, she founded a dental practice in Hartlepool, which she successfully developed and expanded over the following 22 years. Throughout her time as a practice owner, Pauline also mentored many younger dentists, supporting them as they developed their clinical skills and confidence.
More recently, Pauline has chosen to spend more of her time working alongside her husband, Rupert, at Myton Park Dental Centre in Ingleby Barwick.
Throughout her career of more than 30 years, Pauline has remained deeply committed to postgraduate education and has trained with many highly respected clinicians in the UK and internationally.
In 2006, she completed a year-long course in Restorative Dentistry, followed by a further year of training in Aesthetic Dentistry with Paul Tipton in Manchester. She later trained as a Comprehensive Invisalign provider and has been providing clear aligner treatment since 2012.
Pauline has also undertaken extensive training in composite bonding, including courses in Bioclear, Monik Vasant’s composite bonding techniques and Mini Smile Makeover programmes between 2018 and 2021.
Her training in facial aesthetics began in 2009, and she continues to update her knowledge regularly to ensure her approach remains current, considered and focused on natural-looking results.
A significant part of Pauline’s professional development came through the Kois Academy in Seattle, USA, where she studied with Dr John Kois. The eight-module programme focused on the management of complex dental care and included advanced training in surgical techniques, periodontal surgery and bone grafting. Pauline graduated from the Kois Academy in 2017.
This breadth of training allows Pauline to manage more advanced and complex cases at Myton Park Dental Centre, often reducing the need for patients to be referred elsewhere.
Her philosophy is centred on a holistic, minimally invasive approach to dentistry, using conservative techniques wherever possible and planning care around the long-term health, function and appearance of each patient’s smile.
Pauline is particularly proud of the comprehensive approach to care at Myton Park, working closely with the wider clinical team and trusted laboratory technicians to provide carefully coordinated treatment for every patient.
Outside the practice, Pauline is happiest spending time with Rupert and their children, William and Tabitha. She enjoys family days out and holidays whenever possible, and says running is one of the things that keeps her grounded.

Jane has been in dentistry for over 30 years and loves all aspects of her role. Her career has taken her from dental nursing to management and now Dental Therapy, although she has always felt most at home on the clinical side of dentistry and in the surgery.
Jane qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2009 and has since completed her Dental Studies degree and a postgraduate diploma in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry.
She joined Myton Park Dental Centre in 2017. One of the most rewarding parts of Jane’s role is helping patients feel at ease, and she wants everyone she treats to feel comfortable and relaxed in her care. Education is also incredibly important to her, and she loves sharing her knowledge with patients to help them maintain a healthy smile.
Outside the practice, Jane is a proud mum to her son, who works in the world of law. She also has three dogs, Frank, Murphy and Betty, who get her up and out early for their daily adventures.
Jane is currently learning how to grow things in her greenhouse and embracing all things gardening. She also enjoys going to the gym and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

Bekki is one of the Dental Therapists here at Myton Park. She has been in dentistry for over 10 years and has worked in a number of roles, including reception and dental nursing, before going on to university to study Dental Therapy.
Bekki joined Myton Park in 2022 after qualifying and has loved being part of the team. One of the things she enjoys most about working at Myton Park is being able to use the full scope of her training to provide the best possible care for patients.
In her spare time, Bekki enjoys keeping fit and socialising with friends and family.
She has also recently returned from maternity leave after having a little girl and has loved becoming a mam over the past year.

Donna qualified from Teesside University in July 2013 and joined Myton Park Dental Centre in October 2025. She is forever grateful to Bekki for going on maternity leave and giving her the opportunity to become part of such a wonderful team!
What Donna enjoys most about her role is seeing her patients’ confidence improve as their oral health improves too. She also really enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and getting to know them over time.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find Donna exploring new places with her husband and their two children, Wilfred and Harriet. They love getting out for walks and discovering somewhere new, with Northumberland being a particular favourite.

At the 2016 National Dental Awards, Gill was crowned ‘Dental Hygienist of the Year’. In the same year, she also received the National Dental Hygiene & Therapy Award for ‘Promoting Excellence in Oral Health’.
Prior to this, Gill was recognised by Diabetes UK with an award for her ‘Outstanding Contribution to Diabetes Care and Research’. Gill is also proud to have been an ambassador for the ‘Heart Your Smile’ dental charity, which promotes dental health within the profession and across local communities.
